Functional independence and well-being in the third and fourth age
Research shows that various intervention programmes can have a lasting positive impact on the cognitive functions of older people in the third (65+) and fourth (85+) age. Given the large number and diversity of intervention options, there has been a lack of consensus on their format, duration and frequency. Therefore, the focus is on the development of guidelines (“good practices”) for the prevention of cognitive impairment and related intervention options in the field of cognition and fall prevention. The results will be developed and documented in German, French, Italian and English guidelines.
