Identifying the risk factors of social exclusion
Given the diversity of life situations in old age, it is essential to identify the risk factors for social exclusion (or, conversely, the factors that promote social integration). We are able to identify meaningful risk factors by means of well-founded research methods and intensive exchange with our cluster partners and researchers in Switzerland and abroad (e.g. France, where exclusion has been studied the most so far, UK, Germany, Italy) – in particular, by involving key informants from different regions across Switzerland.
Key informants – policy makers, members of older adults’ associations, social workers, etc. – are identified thanks to the local knowledge of AGE-INT members.
